God Incarnate

Meditating on the Feast of the Incarnation brought me to this lovely little sculpture.  Let me share with you what I see here:

Mary, icon of pure love, open to God and holding all things in her heart.

Joseph, protector of mother and child, traditionally depicted holding a lamp, the light of God's truth for the world.

Jesus, God-as-infant, in perfect peace, the still point of the turning world.


The whole is formed into an Open Circle, a circle of trust, love, compassion, and peace, open so that each of us may find our own way into the center.  May you experience the peace of Incarnation.
